Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary named Benjamin Lewis, 47, of Kinross Road, Totton, as the individual facing charges in connection with five separate incidents. Police said dead deer and lambs were discovered at several sites around Bramshaw, Totton, and Emery Down, with the alleged offences taking place between 5 February and 29 April.
Lewis remains in police custody and is scheduled to appear before Southampton Crown Court on 13 October.
According to police, the charges brought against Mr Lewis are as follows: four counts of racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage; four counts of racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress; two counts of theft; two counts of criminal damage; and one count of racially or religiously aggravated harassment without violence.
Earlier this year, officers said they were investigating a total of 12 reports of animal carcasses being left close to churches in Totton, Bramshaw, and Lyndhurst between November and May.
Hampshire Police are continuing their enquiries and have encouraged anyone with further information to come forward.
